These islands in the Pacific have come to mean more to me than just pieces of land. When I was a kid growing up, they always represented the place where I’d rather be. The feeling that the word Hawai’i carries my mind can’t really be put into words, but it has to do with calm rolling waves, colorful fish, humid nights filled with the smell of flowers, the sound of palm trees swaying in the breeze, and a feeling of adventure. I picked up a DSLR camera for the first time during a month living on the Big Island, and three years later I returned with my own camera to spend three months living there. Here are my pictures from my visits to this paradise on earth.
